We have all had a very enjoyable week of exciting maths! All the children got involved and we were so impressed with their resilience, creativity and team skills when working on various maths tasks. The children cooked cakes, biscuits and made drinks to sell at the tuck shop. The year 5 and 6 children worked out how much money we would need to sell everything in the tuck shop to make a profit and then run the shop, calculating amounts and change. 

We went to the church and spent the morning carrying out maths challenges including calculating the height of the church tower, finding the perimeter of the church, tallying gravestones and finding shapes.

The finale of the week was dressing up for number day to raise money for the RSPCC.
